The Star Trac E SMI Stairmill is a top of the range stepmill. At its core it is an endless flight of stairs – though as you will see, it is much more than this. The e SMI provides a wide range of workouts.
This stairmill comes in at a width of 86cm, length of 147m and height of 229cm. The stairmill effectively recreates a never-ending staircase, with 20cm high steps and a 22.8cm step platform.
Users of up to 159kg can safely use this equipment, which equates to 25 stone. For peace of mind, there is a 10-year warranty of the frame of the stairmill, as well as a 2-year warranty for all other parts. Viewing Screen and Connectivity of the Star Track E SMI
One of the standout features of this Star Trac product is the 15.6 inch high definition LCD personal viewing screen.
This sits on top of the standard display and gives you intuitively placed channel and volume controls – using the latest touch screen technology. The screen features either a NTSC/ATSC/QAM digital tuner or PAL/SECAM tuner. That gives you compatibility with all the major phone apps / tracking tech and entertainment options.
There are four viewing modes when using the screen – Progress View, Famous Steps® View, Heart Rate View, and Simple View.

On the display you’ll find readouts relating to time, floors climbed, heart rate, course profile, resistance level, calories, calories/hour, watts, distance, speed. You will monitor your current progress but track your overall fitness going forward. This Star Trac stairmill is powered by a 110 volt NEMA 5-15 cord and the equipment is certified by the UL/CSA, CE, FCC, and CISPR. There are 20 different levels of workout intensity, and the heart rate is monitored using polar telemetry and the contact heart rate system.
The supportive handrails in place (use of the handrails is optional, many users will not make use of them) are designed with the user in mind, offering comfortable hand placement at every point. An integrated and adjustable personal fan is there to keep you cool as you make those climbs.
