Sportstech F75 Commercial Treadmill Review

Mark’s Update: SportsTech have marked their UK store as no longer accepting orders, and also disappeared from Amazon.co.uk.

Check out the following pages for deals, reviews and comparisons of the leading treadmill brands:

Summary: The Sportstech F75 treadmill is a beast. This model is worthy of any commercial gym and smashes the spec of other home treadmills out of the park. The running surface is more than 1.5 meters long and 60cm wide. The 20km / hour top speed can be combined with an incline (auto, naturally) of up to 18%. With German Engineering creating a smooth run and quiet engine, this machine simply blows the rest of the Sportstech range out of the water.

The spec alone is worth the price. When you add in the technology (including app compatibility) and the small touches, then you will quickly see that this machine is a bargain.

Detailed Review of the Sportstech F75 Treadmill

This is a big unit. It is almost 2 meters long (195.6cms), 102cm wide and 139cm tall at the top of the impressive LED display. This is also a heavy model, weighing in at 140kgs. It is not designed to be moved around frequently, with a solid base keeping it well and truly anchored in place. The F75 can be folded between uses, saving space.

With a huge 60cm wide and 1.5-meter long running surface, this is plenty big enough for commercial gyms. Big curved armrests and sleek angles give this treadmill a slightly futuristic look. It is silver and grey, with a quality look and feel.

20km / hour is plenty enough for even the fastest runners. This is provided by a powerful engine which can hit 5HP at peaks.

Max user weight is advised at 200kgs. That is more than 31 stone in ‘old money’.

18% Incline and Multi-Layer Running Surface

Auto incline is common on high-end treadmills. This adjusts as part of the pre-set programs, or you can change it manually while you run. It makes a big difference to the effort needed to run. Incline ill also keep your runs varied – mimicking different terrain or hills as required. 18% is a lot of incline, through you can be flexible on this to match your fitness level.

You can see a picture of the incline at full stretch by scrolling down on the dedicated amazon.co.uk product page – as you will see, it can be a steep gradient.

Sportstech treadmills use multi-layer running surfaces. This is designed to be gentle on your knees, though not soft – which would make running unpleasant. Feedback for multiple models shows that this is a strong point for this brand.

Sportstech F75 Treadmill: LED Console and App Compatibility

Console View F75 TreadmillThis treadmill has a monitor style console – a 15.6-inch LED touch screen. It connects to your Wi-Fi, so you can access all the entertainment options you need while you run. There are built in speakers too. There is also a USB port and even an Aux connection. You can monitor your pulse with the hand sensors or connect a heart rate monitor.

12 pre-set programs will help you vary runs. If you prefer your own tablet / apps, then there is a holder for this (and for your drink bottles).

Feedback: What Owners of the Sportstech F75 High End Treadmill Said?

Plenty of positive feedback for this model. What struck me is that a lot of home users bought one, with a smaller number of commercial buyers chipping in. The size got a lot of mentions – someone saying you need a forklift to get it into place (this was a hugely positive review!). Delivery is kerbside, which explains why some people left 1-star feedback (people, eh).

The German engineering and overall quality got mentioned over and over – many people specifically mentioned that their expectations were beaten.

This ties in well with feedback for the mid-priced Sportstech products. This company are fast getting a solid reputation for service as well as for the engineering of their products.

As always, do check the latest feedback on any treadmill before you buy.

Wrapping Up: Is the Sportstech F75 Treadmill Right for You?

This is a commercial size treadmill that is flexible enough for home use. It is a big, heavy, solid machine – with a wide running surface. The console will catch your eye, though for me the 18% incline is the killer feature. This keeps your runs as varied and challenging as you can handle. With a 20km / hour top speed, even the fastest runners get plenty of flexibility.

Sportstech design their treadmills to last for years. This one is robust enough to survive in a commercial gym.

Feedback from current owners clearly demonstrate that this treadmill lives up to its claims. Check out the full picture gallery and details on the motor, console and running surface for yourself now over on this dedicated amazon.co.uk product page!
