ProForm Pro C10R Recumbent Exercise Bike Review

ProForm Pro C10R Recumbent Exercise Bike Review

ProForm have created a tech-heavy and comfortable exercise bike with their latest recumbent – the Pro C10R.

My eyes are immediately drawn to the seat, though it is the frame, mechanics and technology which make this recumbent stand out. The Pro C10R is iFit ready. You get a free trial, which involves personal trainers leading sessions and scenic rides. You also get Bluetooth, pulse sensors and a crisp, clear HD electronic display panel.

Add the ProForm quality and long warranty, and this should be one for your shortlist. You can even spread the cost at no extra interest.

Check out the details of how the C10R works with iFit and see the latest pricing now – over on the C10R Recumbent page at the official ProForm UK store.

Detailed Review of the C10R Pro Recumbent Home Exercise Bike from ProForm

This is a big bike, providing plenty of stability compared to those no-brand-name ‘rattle traps’ available online.

It is 142cm long, 64.5cm wide and 125cm tall to the top of the console.

I like the versatility of the seat adjustments. This moves both vertically and horizontally to get the most comfortable riding position. If you look at the picture you can see the sloped bar. Also noteworthy are the wide stability bars underneath. You won’t wobble on this unit.

There are wheels at the front, allowing you to move the C10R around using the handle at the back.

Using the ProForm C10R Recumbent Bike with iFit

You get a free 30-day trial to see if iFit works for you with your purchase of the C10R. This is a massively popular training app. It is shared between big brands including NordicTrack, ProForm and Reebok.

Training sessions with world-class PTs are the mainstay – though this is just the start. You can choose from live or recorded sessions, where the resistance is changed remotely depending on the terrain or the style of the training session. There are scenic rides, stats tracking and even social elements in the iFit system.

After your trial ends, you can decide whether to carry on. A quick note, you need to go in and actively cancel, otherwise iFit assumes you want to continue.

C10R Bike: Resistance and Extra Features

Silent Magnetic Resistance is the latest fitness tech. It is found in commercial machines and offers a smooth 25 levels of resistance in the C10R. This will stay true – unlike the slowly reduced resistance on so-called budget bikes.

You control this resistance via a bright, sharp 10-inch touch-screen monitor. No stopping to turn a dial is needed. Add in ergonomic pedals with straps, a built-in cooling fan and speakers for a great setup. There is even a water bottle holder within easy reach.

The ProForm C10R is compatible with Bluetooth. There are speakers on the frame, or you can synch your headphones instead.

Comfortable Sit Back Design

Feedback: What Buyers Said About the C10R Exercise Bike from ProForm?

This is a new model at the time of writing, so there are no comments from buyers specific to the C10R yet.

Other bikes in this range have excellent feedback. People using iFit for the first time are among the most enthusiastic. If you are used to biking at home on your own (or with the TV), this certainly breathes new life into your workouts.

ProForm have a brilliant reputation and offer one of the best warranty deals for mid-budget brands. You get a full 2-year guarantee on the parts, labour, and the frame. In my experience, you are unlikely to need this with the quality level of ProForm cardio machines.

Wrapping Up: Is the ProForm C10R Recumbent Right for You?

For a mid-priced sit back / recumbent exercise bike that will last you for years, it is hard to argue that the ProForm Pro C10R would be anything but an excellent choice.

The design is elegant, with practical thinking like the step-through design and 2-way adjustments built in. It is the resistance combined with the technology which makes this model stand out. You get 25 resistance levels, a 10-inch HD screen and a month to try out iFit.
