Detailed Review of the NordicTrack 2450 Commercial Treadmill

There are classic NordicTrack design touches on this model. The curve between the console and safety arms, the clean lines of the edges of the running surface and grey and black styling all work perfectly. This model is found in commercial gyms and fitness rooms, though is most popular among the more decerning home users.

It is a big and heavy treadmill. It is 206cms long, 99.5cms wide and 177cms high. This model folds away using the ‘EasyLift Assist’ (hydraulic) tech, though this is not the kind of machine you will want to be moving from place to place. The boxed weight is 154kgs, and the maximum user weight is recommended at 135kgs – a little over 21 stone.

As with all NordicTrack home fitness equipment, you get an impressive warranty. The frame is covered for life, with 10 years coverage for the motor and 2 years of full parts and labour for the rest. Note: You need to activate this warranty within 28 days of purchase to get cover.

High Tech Additions for the Motor, Incline and Running Surface

As you go up the price levels, you get increasingly effective technology from NordicTrack. This model has a 4.0CHP version of their SMART-response motor. The motor tech keeps the action quiet and smooth – and also self-cools. The top speed is 22km / hour – more than you’ll realistically need for home training.

You get both incline and decline on the 2450. This is digital, it is controlled via the console – or controlled remotely as part of an iFit training programme. You get a solid 15% on the incline, and for something different 3% decline too.

The running surface uses RunnersFlex cushioning. This is adjustable, allowing you to get your perfect setup (not too soft, not too hard). With a wide 55cm belt, you get plenty of room too.

This treadmill also includes an AutoBreeze workout fan, EKG hand grips and Bluetooth compatible dual speakers.

Feedback: What Owners Said About the Commercial 2450 Treadmills?

This is a new 2021 model. I’m too early writing this gather personal user feedback from the usual outlets. iFit users have commented, giving this machine a huge 4.8 out of 5 stars. With the 14-inch integrated HD monitor, and digital incline, this is no surprise.

If the 2450 is anywhere close to the T or S series, the feedback will be somewhere between ‘impressed but cool about it’ and ‘gushing’. NordicTrack are known for their excellent warranties and great customer service.

Note made to come back to this review in a couple of months, and update with the latest feedback from buyers once deliveries are underway.
