Compared to many recumbent bikes, you get a big, sturdy unit. It is 147.5cms long, by 66cms wide and 130cms tall at the top of the console. This is not foldable, and while there are transport wheels, I would recommend you find it a place. The 49.5kg overall weight is a big part of this.
You will see a yellow lever under the seat. This is a quick release for the seat unit, which then slides along a rail. When you get the perfect reach to the pedals, you lock the seat in place. The mesh back rest is comfortable, this idea is borrowed from high-end office chairs.
JLL are known for great after sales service – you also get a 12-month warranty with this bike.
There are multiple small touches which it would be easy to miss when you first see this exercise bike. The handlebars under the seat are contoured. They contain a pulse rate monitor – which is shown on the display. The pedals have adjustable straps to hold your feet in place, they swivel, so you can ride comfortably in any position. Smaller handlebars each side of the console can be used too – they also come in useful when getting on and off of the unit.
This bike uses a 5.5” colour LCD screen. It displays all the usual exercise bike info, plus some extras. You get speed, distance, session time and calories burned on almost all home exercise bikes. Add to this the body fat reading and heart rate for a more complete panel.
There are 12 pre-set programs, giving you a mix of endurance and cardio workouts. You can create your own programmes too. This recumbent bike is compatible with the ‘iConsole+’ app.
Positive reviews covering this bike already (it is new at the time of writing, so I do recommend you check the latest feedback). Its quietness has come in form individual praise, along with the excellent overall build quality. Assembly caused a minor concern, with a recommendation that 2 people get involved, rather than putting it together on your own.
JLL has a big product line and the thing that appears again and again in their feedback is the excellent after-sales services.
If you do hit a problem with any of their fitness equipment, this UK-based company will get it fixed or send a replacement.
This bike has distinctive good looks and a long list of features. It will appeal to the type of user that has use recumbent bikes before and understands that the quality of a product shoots up once you leave the ‘budget’ bracket.
